Dear Visionaire,
I admire Your wisdom and thus I'm writing to You, as I believe You are already at stage that You're thinking about getting to history of Human Kind. Forever and for good.
I'm offering You a path. Not an easy one. Maybe even longer than Your own life, but one that will leave Your name forever not only in human kind history but history of Universe,.

We, humans, came to a point that our civilization is at greatest threat. A threat that is our own creation. We are using our planet irresponsibly. We do not have efficient recycling systems.
We're using our Earth Lungs just to print newspapers, books and unneeded documents. It will not be changed. You're aware of it.
We're creating fictional laws for recycling and using easily recyclable home stuff that we'll pay small taxes just to give some money to the government but that are totally not allowing for true recycling of quicly disposable stuff. We're happy to be easily fooled that creators of those things worked in good belief and that BIG companies are truly thinking about our environment.
Matrix's vision of computer depicting us as organisms similar to bacteria but on a bigger scale is true. From a planetary point of view we are pollution, a disease of Earth. And since we do not have any efficient recycling processes we will do the same to Earth as bacteria are doing to the host. We will kill it. It's just time of the infection that is much longer than a single pathogen life that is narrowing our vision of future.
But we're a thinking kind. We're able to do most miraculous things. DVD, LASER, CPUs, Robots, Enigma and even more, we've broken its code. … I don’t need to tell You what else. Yes, we're able to solve many problems. But we do not have single government. Even those individuals responsible for great parts of Earth don't mind breaking it. Destroying, killing, polluting, devastating it.
We are not bacteria. Space is not world, not Earth. We live at only known planet able to be called our home. There's so many specifics here: chemistry, amount of energy from Sun, amount of radiation, moon, gravity.
Mars? Nice fairy tale. We don’t belong there...yet. We can’t live there and we won’t be able for next thousand years. Other planets? We can't travel in space anywhere easily. We can't make roads or highways there. Distance is too far. Our future, our only future, is connected to here. Earth.
So what can we do? People of the Earth will not come along altogether to heal the world. We need scientific way out and there is one. Not easy. Tough I'd would say. It demands great knowledge in many specific areas. We have to create Global Cleansing Program (later GCP). Will people join it? No. It has to be somewhat automatic. It has to be revolutionary and efficient. But also reaching within it's design ahead into space. Micro- and Nano- machines gathering and building stations. Yes we're able to go far. But we need other tactic - cosmic one. Different scale, different time.
Connection between Global Cleansing Program and conquering outer space will be achieved through an ability to gather materials, ability to be self-produced and use free energy. We should create nanobots, microbots, robots that will work similarly to decomposers, chemotrophs and detritivores. Destroying , decomposing and gathering chemical materials by even bigger robots, automatic ships or vehicles of other kind. Every one of them will work in their own scale and on specific kind of pollution, chemical bonds, chemical molecules. Just like we are not a single organism but a collection of many: macrophages, antigens, blood cells and over 1500 bacteria species which are responsible for 10% of our dry mass, we need to create a system that will be able to automatically recognize, decompose or gather directly substances from our trash, from our garbage dumps. More even: able to incorporate what it needs for itself, pack the rest and sell it in a reusable state. A system that uses only energy of the Sun and chemical energy of previously created chemical molecules.
The system then can be sent to space and used directly at moons, asteroids and planets. This system will be able to work in such scale that it will invert the corrosion of Mars. It's red because it's rusted.
If we gather Iron, Oxygen form Mars' rust and find there any other substances to burn like coal we can create landing pads, cities or anything other. But… it must take time.
It has to be automatic, but not autonomous. Stoppable, but intelligent. Gathering knowledge and observing processes in statistical way to create more efficient processes.
Now, we're wasting our resources when we should insure our future with clean energy. We're polluting our Earth, our Home, just to get to a far far away land when there is practically nothing for us. Fairy tale for masses, I used to say.
Wouldn't it be better to send somewhere a machines to do all the dirty, boring and dangerous job for us?
How much does it cost to send a big machine to Mars? How much does it cost to send one man and keep him alive?
We should always send automatic scouts that gathers knowledge about the surroundings and send units that will provide a development of the terrain there, as fast as it could be. We should ensure energy for this development and creation of next generation of machines that will give there even greater opportunity of development and survival. It should gathers stock for next development and creation.
I feel our kind, human kind, lost its head. We're polluting only to look nice. Only to have the new. Only to be more "Oh, WOW" than the rest of us, and the true purpose of life, of our beautiful Earths flora and fauna is dying.
I offer You to be the man that will change Earth. To be the one that will begin the true conquer of outer space. The long one. But You know, we have 4,5B years till our Sun will change into Red Giant and destroy our Earth. Time is something enormous, beautiful and magical . Let's use it at our side, cause right now we're using it against us.
Dear Elon, if You want to live forever in a memory as the one who changed the world, conquered Space and saved human kind .. think about solving a problems of the Earth in this way.
